eToro disables certain crypto services for users residing in the Netherlands
eToro is committed to complying with all relevant regulations in the countries in which we operate. Following a change in local regulations regarding crypto activities in the Netherlands, eToro has disabled some of the crypto services that we offer our Dutch clients.
We are in the process of registering as a crypto service provider with De Nederlandsche Bank NV (DNB). Until the application is decided upon, we have suspended the crypto activities detailed below for users in the Netherlands, effective immediately.
How does this affect eToro’s Dutch users?
There are currently no changes to Dutch users ability to trade or hold crypto on eToro.com. The changes only apply to the eToro wallet and the eToroX crypto exchange.
New and existing eToro users in the Netherlands are no longer be able to transfer crypto from the eToro trading platform to the eToro Wallet.
The eToro Wallet no longer accepts any new users from the Netherlands.
eToroX Professional Crypto Exchange
The eToroX exchange no longer services any Dutch users. This applies to both new and existing users. We will be contacting all existing asset-holding eToroX exchange users individually to arrange for their assets to be returned to them.
